Without a firm foundation in the basic skills of reading, many middle and high schools will struggle to meet the rigorous expectations of their state standards. The Adolescent Literacy Solutions professional learning series equips educators with the knowledge of the science of reading and the instructional skills necessary to accelerate underperforming students.
Audience: 6–12 intervention teachers, English learner teachers, special education teachers, reading teachers, and coaches. Most of the sessions are during August PD or full day professional development days, with 6 hours after school (3, 2-hour remote sessions in November).
To learn more, please visit this document. Participants will receive 24 PDPs for completing all sessions. If interested, please contact Colleen Curran or speak with your principal. This series will be limited to 80 participants and is only open to SEZP staff.
