When people think of the organization 4-H, they often think of children raising chicks from eggs or caring for lambs, but 4-H is sowing new seeds by connecting with schools in Western Massachusetts’ urban centers. “Our STEM  program has been running in Holyoke and Springfield since 2009 when I started as an undergrad at UMass Amherst,” says Lauren DuBois, a 4-H and CAFE educator.
