Springfield’s M.E. Hersey wins ‘Oscars of teaching,’ Milken Educator Award with $25,000 prize

Margaret “M.E.” Hersey, a ninth-grade English teacher  at Springfield Honors Academy, won the distinguished Milken Educator Award. The Milken awards provide public recognition and individual financial rewards to elementary and secondary school teachers, principals ,and specialists from around the United States.
