What is the school doing to improve outcomes?
- Developing a clear instructional vision for incorporating discourse into the lesson and a plan of implementation in all classrooms, to be measured by the ability of educators to bring artifacts to Professional Learning Community (PLC) and data meetings that demonstrate the implementation of the vision
- Creating a rubric and feedback tool for classroom discourse to be used by students, teachers, and administrators in all classrooms, to be measured by the specific indicator-level data gathered through the use of the Culturally Responsive Instruction Observation Protocol (CRIOP) Discourse Rubric
- Delivering high-quality professional development around analyzing data and addressing the gap in the moment, as measured by teacher observation in which there is evidence of aggressive monitoring and ways in which the data shifted their practice in the moment
- Amending the lesson plan template and implementing organized planning periods to focus on planning for misconceptions as measured by tracking improvement trends in observed use of the monitoring template during walkthroughs
