Duggan Academy seniors created a school mural depicting teenagers working collectively to assemble a broken face. The mural is an illustration of coming together to rebuild society. The “Mural for Justice” program launched in 2019, with the help of a grant from the Springfield Cultural Center. Springfield artist, Don Blanton, directs the program. From showcases at Disney World to museum pieces in Russia and Japan, Blanton said that some of his favorite pieces are the ones hang in the small Midwestern town that he grew up in. Read more.
