Participants have an opportunity to engage and commit to anti-racism as a community. Through a relational approach, the Anti-racism PLC will focus on the impact of historical racism, implicit bias, identity and self-awareness. PLC participants will build skills to become anti-racist educators committed to radically transforming conditions for teaching and learning in ways that advance equity, social justice, and social-emotional learning (SEL). The PLC will convene on Zoom from 3:30-5pm on the following dates: October 10th, November 12th, January 9th, March 6th, May 1st. Any employee within SEZP/SPS is invited to take part in this opportunity.
Participants will receive PDP credit upon completion. You must be a SEZP SEBS Teacher to participate. Please register at TeachPoint and reach out to Kisha Morgan or Carolina Martinez with any questions.
